About

British DJ Nikki Pennie has established herself as a formidable force since her 2013 debut. Based in Los Angeles, she honed her craft under the mentorship of renowned British music producer Dave Garnish.

A truly international DJ, Nikki has played exclusive events, parties, festivals and activations for a client roster of brands and people that reads like a who's who of entertainment, luxury, fashion and lifestyle, including Dior, Range Rover, Cartier, Stella McCartney, Dolce & Gabbana, H&M, Veuve Clicquot, JPMorgan Chase, Netflix, NBCUniversal, BAFTA and UNICEF. Her career has taken her around the globe, from the Swiss Alps for the World Economic Forum in Davos to the French Riviera for the Cannes Film Festival and Cannes Lions, from Coachella in the Californian desert to the Pebble Beach Concours on the Monterey coast and from CES in Las Vegas to SXSW in Austin. Travelling from the global fashion weeks to Oscar weeks and beyond, she has DJ'd countless events and parties all over America and the world in between. Along the way she earned a reputation as Hollywood's go-to DJ, a fixture at the entertainment industry's most coveted parties. Many of her highest-profile clients remain strictly private.

That reputation led to a series of major brand collaborations, including a longstanding ambassadorship and relationship with Dior as the Dior Beauty DJ. She partnered with NBCUniversal as the official DJ for the Minions to promote the Despicable Me franchise. She was also featured in Burberry's iconic Art of the Trench campaign and spent months driving a limited edition Union Jack Jaguar around Los Angeles as an ambassador for the brand.

Her work has captured the attention of major media outlets, with Billboard naming her an "It" DJ and Forbes acknowledging her as one of the influential names carrying the breakthrough reputation of female DJs. She has also appeared in Vogue, The Hollywood Reporter, the Los Angeles Times, Glamour, InStyle, WWD, WhoWhatWear and Nylon amongst many other publications worldwide. Her rise has even earned a mention in Wikipedia's History of DJing. She began her career performing under the moniker The British Bardot before coining and trademarking the term She-J in 2014, adopting it as her stage name and brand. Performing under that name helped champion female representation in music and entertainment at a time when it was rarely part of the conversation.

Most recently, Nikki has expanded her focus into music production, evolving her career up the ladder into the role of DJ & Producer and stepping into this next exciting chapter under her own name. Her music has already been featured on BBC Introducing, the BBC's platform for up and coming artists.
